PAGCOR

Flip Flop

Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (or PAGCOR), the institution with the largest revenue contribution to the government, sought to strengthen their image as a partner in nation-building through the numerous socio-civic government projects they fund. One of these projects focuses on the plight of schoolchildren in the provinces. In the Philippines, children in many provinces have to walk long distances through various terrain to get to school every day. Oftentimes, these schools lack basic facilities, including chairs and desks. As a result, kids are forced to sit on the ground, and on their flip flops, to prevent the seat of their pants or skirts from getting dirty. We captured this harsh reality through a TV spot intended to generate widespread awareness about this situation, and PAGCOR’s programs aimed at improving the conditions of schools in the Philippine provinces.
