Ace Saatchi & Saatchi Scores Twin Bronze Wins in The Kidlat Awards 2018
During the Ad Summit Pilipinas 2018, Ace Saatchi & Saatchi earned Bronze awards in the categories of Direct and Promo & Activation in The Kidlat Awards 2018.
The awards were given for the Blood TesTicket event for client Merck’s Sangobion IRON+, a product that helps alleviate the effects of iron-deficiency anemia.
In this event, the country’s hottest pop star Sarah Geronimo held an exclusive one-night-only concert. Instead of selling tickets, the ticket booths were instead test booths where their blood was tested for iron-deficiency anemia.
After testing and a free consultation with a doctor, the blood test results were given. These were actually the only tickets accepted for entrance to the concert.
Supported by top bloggers and a social media campaign, and an OOH placement on Manila’s busiest highway, the event allowed 33% of people tested to discover that they had anemia, and even increased blood tests for anemia by 200%. It also spurred much discussion online about anemia, including its symptoms and remedies.
The Kidlat Awards is an annual creative competition held by the 4As Philippines' Creative Guild celebrating the country's best, most creative advertising work of the past year. Ad Summit Pilipinas is the largest biennial gathering of industry professionals in the Philippines.
